Who We Are:
Cynthia Cintron Calhoun is the owner/founder and
publisher of National Health Review and owner of Cordis Publishing,
LLC.
With more than 15 years consumer market
publishing and direct marketing experience, Ms. Calhoun founded
National Health Review in 2006 to offer credible medical,
health and wellness information to Brevard residents.

Ms. Calhoun’s experience includes entrepreneurial, operational, administrative, consulting, marketing and editorial for an international publishing firm and private contract companies in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and internationally in the Caribbean and Mexico, positioning her as a natural leader for a publishing venture in a niche market.
“It’s important that our readers learn about health topics from the professionals best trained to understand and deal with them and be able to access those providers in their communities. Having access to health information is important, and equally important is knowing where to go to get more information, treatment and assistance, if needed,” she said.
Shawna Serig Kelsch is the Editor In Chief
of National Health Review, coordinating all editorial components
of the magazine and assisting with administration and production
as needed.
Ms. Kelsch has more than 20 years marketing experience
for private contract companies in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, including
work with a major publishing house and Southeast advertising division
of a major department store.
Ms. Kelsch also has experience reporting news,
community events and health topics for Florida Today. She holds
dual degrees in Journalism and Sociology from the University of
Miami and attended fellowship training at Diversity Institute's
Freedom Forum at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Ms. Kelsch
also serves as Vice Chair of the Brevard Healthcare Forum, is a
member of the Brevard Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition
and is serving a two year appointment to the board of the Health
Council of East Central Florida.
NHR is a free quarterly community publication
distributed by local health and medical providers via over 600 locations
in Brevard, as well as through subscriptions and online via digital
format e-zine. The content and magazine sponsors are devoted to
health, wellness and medicine, including traditional medicine, anatomy,
mental health, nutrition and exercise, senior health, complementary
medicine, current events and a comprehensive community calendar.
